SEG believes we have a unique operational viewpoint that drives our mission to bring a more efficient way of delivering projects to completion in excellent timescales, whilst maintaining build quality.

SEG Construction Ltd and SEG MEP are divisions of Saving Energy Group which was set up to deliver more sustainable homes – our vision being to deliver low carbon, energy efficient and healthy living homes across the UK. Our ethos is based on bringing more transparency to the industry, with clear costings and a high value placed on communication between developers, designers, constructors and across the supply chain.

Company Overview


SEG Construction Ltd firmly believe the future of our industry lies in sustainable, low carbon and cost-effective methods of construction that provide quality housing that meets the requirements of the modern vendor and consumer. SEG Construction have created SEG MEP Ltd to provide all our Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing needs along with using renewable and smart home technologies. We have also entered a strategic partnership with providers of Structural Timber Panel Systems which will increase the speed of construction on site and limited site waste.


Through our MEP division, Timber Panel partners and vast network of subcontractors, suppliers and site management resources across the whole of the UK, SEG Construction is well placed to deliver over 100 homes a year throughout the UK.


We focus on ensuring the people we engage on our projects are driven and experienced, from having our own MEP division, highly experienced Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers, Clerk of Work and Professional Consultants to ensure works and budgets are tightly monitored, and that works are delivered on programme and at the level of quality expected by SEG Construction.


Management Team

John Gooch . Managing Director

The company places a high value on knowledge and experience and is operated by our Managing Director John Gooch who is himself a 3rd generation Construction Director with a variety of experience within the field of construction. John has worked on a variety of projects over the last 25 years, including for organisations such as Housing Trusts in London, private property developers and directly with investors.

Alan Kelly . Chartered Construction Director, CIOB RICS

Our Chartered Construction Director Alan Kelly has over 15 years experience and is a full member of CIOB and Associate member of RICS, and has worked across all disciplines in the industry from contracting, consulting, funding and low carbon & energy efficient buildings.

Faye Allen . Quantity Surveyor

Faye is our Quantity Surveyor who has a Masters degree in Quantity Surveying and over five years’ practical experience within the construction industry, based in the South West. Her career started as an apprentice learning site management and quantity surveying responsibilities on a low carbon and energy efficient site in Plymouth. She has worked for three of the UK’s largest housebuilders whilst also gaining experience from working with a groundworks and civil engineering company. Faye has first-hand experience of mixed tenure sites in addition to varying construction methods inclusive of timber frame, traditional and hybrid.
